On Saturday, February 8th, 2020, ZDF aired the first two episodes of the second season of its cult-favorite series, “Bad Banks”. Part of this season takes place in a fintech incubator in Berlin. Sound familiar? It should! “Bad Banks” screenwriter, Oliver Kienle, visited one of finleap’s portfolio companies for his research for this season. Of course, “Bad Banks” is a fictional series, but there are definitely some similarities and elements of truth to it. So, what’s it really like to work for a fintech start-up like finleap?
The international startup scene is growing by the minute, and in addition to major hubs like Silicon Valley, other cities are developing to also become major startup strongholds.
The whole finleap team came together again for this year's summer offsite. The team, now up to almost 100 people, enjoyed a full day of activities spanning from Berlin's Treptower Park and all the way through Berlin’s young, multicultural Kreuzberg district.
The finleap Berlin team took a company trip - affectionately dubbed our finaway - to Milan, Italy, where we met our Milan team, saw the sights and danced the night away.
